Best tips for sticking to your diet – Drink Plenty of Water
No one likes the idea of a diet and because of this, many people falter on their way to getting their dream bodies. Even when armed with all the right information, it’s still very easy to get discouraged about the whole thing and quit.
So here are a couple of things I’ve found that will help you stick with it.
You may not need all of them but some might scream out to you as a good idea and if that’s all it takes to keep you on path, that’s good enough.
Hydrate your fucking ass
While taste is a big component to our eating habits, food fullness is often just as important but the latter is a mere illusion.
Most of your intake is made up of water and it’s the mass of this in your stomach (alongside any gastric bloating) at any given point in time that provides you with a sense of fullness, not the food.
This is exactly the same principle behind why people find meal replacement shakes and soups effective in keeping them fuller for longer.
It’s also the same reason most buffet restaurants will be happy to give you large volumes of drinks or a free refill drinks machine, just to overdose you on liquids and limit the amount you can physically eat.
So in order to get over the fact you’ll be less calories, I would drink more water to accompany it. Try to drink water but have specific Diet drinks at the very least (get the zero calorie ones if you can).
Drinking a large amount of water will also keep your body ticking over correctly, a lot of us don’t drink anywhere near enough water throughout the day.
Plus, it will keep you from bloating up, as keeping yourself hydrated makes you less likely to hold onto water throughout the day.
So if your own personal dilemma with food is less about the taste of certain foods and obtaining the feeling of fullness, then see if drinking more will help.
Just be wary, you are likely to start pissing like a racehorse as your body gets used to it. There’s nothing wrong with that, that’s the way it should be.
